House update

That large window is my dining room.

And the garage.
So after chatting with the realtor this morning I can tell you that these pictures are old. They were taken last week and a lot has been done, or at least it sounds that way, since then. But I wanted to update everyone with the progress. The pictures were taken around 26Aug09.
So now for my amazingly good news. When the realtor called this morning he informed me that the builders "messed up" on the house! They made it bigger than planned!!!! So our 2300 sq ft house was increased to 2600 sq ft. I was soooo overjoyed! Along with the bigger size comes a few extras as well. One of those being a larger shower with a seat in the master bathroom! I was told that we have a very nice jacuzzi tub and a HUGE master bedroom and closet. He said the bedroom downstairs is really big too. The realtor is so impressed with our house and the builders that he is talking with them about building him a house! He said they were insulating the house REALLY well and our power bill would be very low. He also said the way they were doing the floors would insure that we never have creaky floor boards. Which is a huge deal because the floors in the our house now creak all the time! Drives me nuts!!!! The builder is really liking the way our house is turning out and he likes the things I have changed and added. So they want to keep my design (well their design and my tweaks!) along with the new larger size and charge about $20,000-$30,000 more. So basically God has blessed us beyond our wildest imaginations! I told Aaron in the beginning when we first spoke of building that I wasn't going to stress about this process. I said I was going to just go with the flow and if everything fell into place then we would do it. I had prayed about it and felt God was saying this is what we should do. Oh how right HE was. Everything is going better than I ever expected and I can't thank God enough for that.
This week has been pretty busy. The first group of our soldiers returned on Monday night. I went to welcome them and the boys stayed at a friends. It was so nice to see the guys with their families. Of course it just made me even more excited about Aaron coming home. I spoke with Aaron tonight and he is doing good. He seems to be in a better mood these days. I just love when I can hear laughter in his voice. We still have a couple of weeks to wait but soon enough he should be headed out of that country and into our home! Please continue to keep him and all the other returning soldier in your prayers. Also remember the "new guys." Having our soldiers return means other families are having to say goodbye. So remember them as well.
Have a great day everyone!

I think I want your builders to build my house one day! They seem to 'mess' things up for the good! :)
