Today started off like any normal day. Got up and got ready for work. I decided to do something a little different for breakfast so I made apple turnovers. When I told Logan that we were going to have those instead of his usual pop tart, which he is pretty set on having every morning, he says,"No, I don't think I will like those. I will just have a pop tart." Well I tell him he has no choice so he tries it and likes it. Lane didn't seem to feel the best. He did feel warm but when I took his temp it was normal. So off we go to start the day. Well all was well until around 12:30 when I get a call from Logan's school. He is sick, has a temp of 101.6 and has had diarrhea all day. Great! It starts again. When I went to change into my street clothes I checked my phone and had a text from Heather. Lane has a temp of 102 and has been sleeping all day. So I make them both appointments and head off to get them. When I picked Logan up he acted like he didn't feel good. Wanted to be held and everything. We get to the car and he falls asleep until we get to the hospital. When I picked Lane up you could just look at him and tell he didn't feel good. When we got to the doctor Logan didn't have a temp. He was acting just fine and even driving me nuts. The doctor said it looked like a 24 hr bug that has been going around. Wasn't anything she could give them. So we come home. Lane immediately went to sleep but I had to make Logan lay down and he took a 1 hr nap. He acts like he is fine, no fever and hasn't been to the bathroom since I picked him up. Lane is still pretty whinny and but he has started playing and seems to feel some what better. Thankfully Heather said she would watch them both tomorrow because Logan can't go back to school until 24 hrs after I picked him today.
I am so sick of my kids being sick. I know that work understands but I hate having to take off every other day especially when I only work 3 days a week. I know its this dang dry, cold weather. This whole place is just a breeding ground for sickness....I can't wait to leave Alaska. At least when I live in the south I don't have to deal with -30 degrees while I'm sick!!!!!
