Sunday morning we all got up and got ready for church. Logan went with the neighbor's. Their little boy had been asking for Logan to go with him for the past 3 or 4 Sunday's so I let him go this time. Cassie and I carried our little ones to church with us. We went to the church that we used to go to all the time when we first moved here. I enjoyed it and it felt good to be in church which is a feeling I've been missing. After church Cassie and I did a little shopping at Old Navy and then I headed to Walmart to pick up some stuff as well as Easter gifts for the boys. Logan ended up coming home not long after I got home. When he did I showed him the new shirts I bought him and Lane. I love buying matching clothes for them and at this point neither of them care if they match or not so while I can still do it I will! Well one of the shirts was navy blue and has ONE pink stripe. Well as soon as I showed Logan he says, "mom, it's pink; pink is for girls!" Later though he asked if he could wear it to school today. After the boys had their bath we all went downstairs to watch Bedtime Stories. It was pretty cute. Logan enjoyed it. Lane however did not last long. Not even 15 minutes into the movie he had crawled up in my arms and fell right to sleep. I had to take a picture because that NEVER happens unless he's sick or hurt. So last night was special...he was just loving on his mommy!
Last night ended with a wonderful phone call from Aaron. Both the boys were in bed so I really got to have a nice conversation with him that didn't get interrupted every two seconds with little boys either yelling or destroying something! It was quite nice.

We headed off to start our day and around 11:30 I get a call from Lane's sitter saying that he had been pushed by the other little boy who stays there and hit his head on the corner of the entertainment center. She said he had a pretty good knot that she was concerned about and would feel better if I came and took a look at. So I did. With his luck lately I knew I better not take any chances. When I got there she was holding him and he was letting her put ice on it so I knew it had to hurt. He looked pitiful with this swollen bruise right between his eyes. I decided to take to him to ER just to be on the safe side. As we drove to the ER he livened up a little and started acting more like himself. By the time we got there he was talking and even entertained everyone while we waited our turn. I was pretty sure he was fine but it made me feel even better to hear someone else say it. He did great the rest of the day and a lot of the swelling went down so know he just has the bruise. But I know it has to be sore. This picture I took right after we left the ER.
As we were driving home Logan says, "Look mom, I see the grass. That means it's almost time for Daddy to come home!" He's like his momma, the little things mean the most. In fact I had the same excitement the first time I saw the grass when breakup started after our first winter here. You never realize how special grass is until it becomes the sign of something you really want. For me then it was warm sun but this year for Logan it means his Daddy will be here soon! When we got home I did a little shoveling in the driveway and the boys played around outside a bit. The weather was really nice...well really nice to what we have been having. When your used to -30 as your normal temp then anything above 32 almost feels hot! It was 34 degrees and I was shoveling with just a fleece jacket on. It was so nice though. I didn't get near as much done as I would have liked but at least I did some, right! Logan was really pushing my buttons tonight. He didn't want to listen and no punishment was working. When Aaron called half the conversation was me getting on to Logan. Aaron even told me to just send him to bed. So I made him start picking up toys and when I got off the phone I took both boys upstairs to bed. Right now they are still fighting sleep I believe. Every now and them I hear one of them start talking! But at least there is no crying. I'm off to get myself ready for bed. Hopefully it will be an early night for me!

It was quite nice.Today started off pretty well. The boys slept all night in THEIR beds! That was nice. Neither of them wanted to get up. In fact Logan told me a few time that his eyes just would not open! Once they were up they got dressed and they fussed with each other over this new toy that Logan got at church. Logan named the creature Light Up because when you hit/drop it lights up. He loves this little thing. In fact last night we had to tuck it in with blankets so it could sleep on the couch. Below is a picture of Logan with Light Up, and then a picture of Lane who is mad at me because I won't let him run off since I'm taking a picture, and then a picture of the two of them while they were fighting over Light Up! Notice Lane is pretty grumpy there too. I had to make Logan give him Light Up so that he would stand still for a picture. These boys!

Poor Lane! He has the worst luck!
We've gotten your weather, I think. It is really cold here today--snowing on my drive into work! Craziness---absolute madness! It was so warm here Saturday and now it is snowing! haha
Oh my girl. You have your hands full with those 2 boys! No doubt! It is a good thing Lane is a tough little guy because he sure gets beat up enough. I see many more trips to the ER in your future! :)
So glad it's finally starting to warm up there and the snow is melting. I know from experience how ya feel on that!
