As I'm in surgery today I get a message that Logan's daycare had called and I needed to call them. Oh geezzzz....here we go again! When I get on the phone with the school nurse she tells me that Logan fell while trying to climb up the stairs to the slide and fell directly on his right side. They said he also hit his mouth and there was a tiny amount of blood. They felt that he was ok and he was not complaining of anything hurting but she wanted to let me and she asked that I call his doctor. So I did and they said that as long as he wasn't hurting and if the shoulder didn't look displaced then he should be fine and they would just wait and see him at his appointment on Friday. So I let the nurse know and she said she would keep a check on him throughout the day. When I picked him up he was doing fine and playing with all the kids. They said that he had not complained of hurting and seemed to have no visible injuries other than a little mark along his gum which I checked out and it appears fine. The girls at work offered to save the bubble wrap that we get with our supplies...maybe I should take them up on that! I think I will just put a copy of their medical records in their baby book!
When I picked Lane up he was in a good mood and jabbering away. The sitter told me that he had put the hood of his jacket over the front of his face and was running around blind. She said she had to hide his jacket from him so that he wouldn't do it. So then he just grabbed someone else's jacket. She ended up having to put every one's coats where Lane wouldn't get them because he thought it was so funny running around without seeing anything!
I was exhausted from work and since Logan had a bad day we had KFC for dinner. You would have thought I had offered a gourmet dinner because he was so excited when I asked if he wanted KFC for dinner. He chanted "KFC" almost all the way there! He also asked if we could rent a movie. He was wanting Ice Age but we couldn't find it so he settled for a Hulk Wii game. I rented Marley & Me and Seven Pounds. We are getting ready to put Marley & Me in. I hear it's sad...but I think Logan will like it. He loves animals.
I just want to shout it to the mountain tops....IT'S OFFICIAL!!!! Aaron reenlisted yesterday so we are officially Ft. Campbell bound. Aaron thinks in about 7 months. What's even better is that with the way reenlistments are going now he really only enlisted for an extra 2 months! So as of right now he will be out of the Army in May 2011. Before he would have gotten out in March of 2011. It is honestly really weird to think that in two years we will be completely done with the Army. The Army really is a way of life and it has it's own set of rules that we have to follow. It is certainly not a 9-5 as Aaron is ALWAYS "on call" and at the Army's beckoning command. But don't get me wrong...I do love this life. I do hate the deployments though! There is just a special pride that I have about my husband. Of course I think he's the most awesome soldier to ever walk the face of the earth. I know he's going to be awesome at what ever career path he takes. And I'm behind him all the way. I also think he's a pretty amazing husband and father...and I sure got blessed when God put him in my life. Just a few more weeks babe!!!!
