It's a wonderful day

The boys and I had a great day today. It started early but it was still great. Lane woke up first at 7:30. He and I came downstairs and had breakfast before Logan woke up an hour later. Aaron called and we got to tell him happy birthday. I was so bummed to find out that all my birthday gift had not arrived. I had packed Aaron a birthday party in a box. I made him Cake in a Jar and mailed the boxes to a friend so that he could surprise Aaron with it on his birthday. Well Aaron only got one box and it wasn't the good box. Not the one with cake or any of the good stuff. I was so bummed. Hopefully it will be there soon but he not suppose to get mail for another 2 weeks! Just stinks cause it's not a surprise anymore and it missed his birthday!!!

The first picture is the Cake in the Jar. He loves German chocolate! The second picture is the box he got. Not anything to exciting! But there are some party poppers! And the last picture is the box he's missing. Yes those are water grenades and water guns!!! I thought they would have some fun. I just hope his cake is still good when it gets there. It's sealed but I ruined the surprise because I wanted to make sure he checked the cake before he ate it!!!!

The boys and I lazed around for a bit and then headed upstairs to do some cleaning. Our mission...the playroom. A friend of ours is bringing her 5 year old step son here to live with her. So Logan and I decided to donate a few toys so that he would have stuff to play with when he got here. Logan was so good about it. I was worried he would be a little selfish and not be willing to part with his toys but I was wrong. I was so proud of him. I would hold up a toy and he would say, "ok, I don't play with that anymore" or "I think Austin would like that" even though he doesn't know the little boy!

After cleaning we came downstairs for lunch. Lane fell asleep...And Logan goofed off...excuse the mouth full of Cheetos!I tried to get Logan to take a nap but he laid in his bed for a while and never fell asleep. Finally I just let him up and he took off outside with Wyatt. Wyatt's dad offered to look at Logan's truck. It's been having problems. He got it fixed and the boys road their power wheels for a while. I filled in a few dirt spots and put out some grass seed. And even watered the lawn. Hopefully it works and the grass actually grows! Lane slept, and slept, and slept some more. Until I woke him up at 5:30. We had dinner with the neighbors and then we all went for a walk. Logan road in the wagon and Lane road in this little car. They loved it. When we got back Lane noticed our other neighbors cat. He tried running after it before the cat always runs away. Well tonight the owner was outside and he held the cat so Lane could pet it. He touched it and then latched on to me like the cat was trying to hurt him even thought the cat had not moved! It was kind of funny. Then we had some watermelon. Lane couldn't get enough. He ate every bit he could get and then wanted more. When we finally came in the boys got baths and played while I got mine. They were both so tired and went right to sleep when I laid them down. Now I'm about to head to bed myself. Almost 8 months down!!!!!

This is my little tough guy. He fell face first on the ground and only whimpered a little. But he wouldn't let me brush the dirt off him. He walked around like this for a while! See the dirt on his face!
