Go Red

Today instead of working I got to go to this event where we held a booth at the American Heart Associations event called Go Red. It's a full day devoted to helping women become more aware of the dangers and preventions of heart disease. Our office promoted our cosmetic products and I got to walk around and learn about being healthy...and check out all the silent auction items. There was this one purse that I wanted really bad...but I convinced myself that I really didn't need it...especially not for the price that was on it! The lunch was the big event...Richard Simmons was our guest speaker! Yes, Sweating to the Oldies Richard Simmons. He was really funny and odd all at the same time. A little weird. Our whole group got a picture made with him at the end so hopefully I will have that later on. Until then here a few pictures I took while he was speaking. Our table was right next to the stage so they turned out pretty good.

These women got called up on stage for buttering their bread. I had buttered mine too but I hid the evidence...I wasn't about to get up on that stage!!!!

I picked the boys up around 2:00 and then we headed home. Logan got invited to a birthday party for a little boy who he goes to school with, Harrison. So we headed over to their house. It was a lot of fun. It was only the second time I had met them but we all had a lot of fun and the kids had a blast. The adults took over the Rock Band game towards the end. Needless to say, I better stick to singing. We didn't get to far when I tried the drums and guitar!!! It was a lot of fun but Lane was getting pretty tired and whinny so we headed home. Logan is pretty much holding his eyes open right now but he's telling me he wants to stay up late so he can sleep late! For some reason I don't think I'm that lucky! Here is a picture of Lane from tonight while we were at the birthday party. Looks like we have another drummer on our hands!
