Snow Day

Yesterday was a pretty boring day for the most part. It snowed really hard all day. On the plus side it was warmer...at one point the computer said 34. Yes 34 above!!!! I was going to head to town and do some running around but I decided that it wasn't worth getting out in the weather. New snow + warmer weather = very slick road. And there are tons of people who think they are invisible on the roads; so it's not worth it. We stayed home.

Mom called me with updates on Grandmother. Her surgery went well and I even talked to her yesterday evening. She still sounded a little tired which I'm sure the meds were still wearing off. But she said she wasn't in any pain so that was good. Mom, Sharon, and Phyllis were all with her as well as one of her sisters. So she had a good support group there to hold her hand...just missing her 5th daughter...ME! It's always been a running joke that I'm my Grandmother's 5th daughter. Mainly because I look just like my mom and two of my aunts. And I mean just like them. My mom can pass easily for my sister. And another reason is because my Grandmother was my babysitter when I was younger and my mom and I lived with my grandparents after my parents divorced. So my Grandmother and I have always been super close. I miss her so much and times like this make being this far away from home almost unbearable.

Amy called me yesterday afternoon and ask if I could watch her kiddos while she went to her night class. So of course I said yes. I remember what a pain those night classes were and Aaron we even here to watch the boys for me! They came over around 5:30 with Burger King kids meals in tow. Logan's favorite. When Amy offered to get them Logan had given stick orders on what he wanted. Chicken fries and french fries with chocolate milk. Well at first he said fruit punch but we compromised on chocolate milk! Logan and Logan had fun playing together and causing a ruckus. Lane and Abby were cute as usual and just played away. Aaron called so I got to talk to him for a while. Abby is in love with Aaron and was more excited than my kids to hear his voice. For the life of us Amy and I can't figure out what she loves so much about Aaron. She always has...since the day she was born. She used to not care to much for me and wouldn't let me hold her. Thankfully that passed and she enjoys being around me now. She also loves Logan and Lane so I don't know what it is about those Potter boys. They just naturally attract the ladies!!! Aaron has a huge grin on his face right now!!!! :)

They stayed for a couple of hours and then headed home. Amy had class again today and because of all the sickness that is going around Abby's daycare had closed for a few days because all their workers were sick. So I offered to watch Abby so that Amy didn't have to miss class. So Amy dropped Abby off this morning and then she carried both the Logan's to school. It's amazing at how much quieter two little ones make it. These two are just playing away.

Here are some pictures from last night when the kiddos were all playing and Abby was posing for the camera!
