This morning the boys and I got up and just lazed around. Aaron called around mid-morning. He's doing good and staying busy. It was nice to talk to him and just hear his voice. The boys were yelling in the background so he got a taste of the exciting times around the house! After I got off the phone with him I started getting ready for the doctors appointment. I noticed that Logan had been pretty much just sitting on the couch all morning and then around 12:00 I took his temp and he had a fever of 102.8. He said he felt bad and his left eye hurt. Other than that he said he was fine. I gave him some Motrin and before we got to the doctor's office at 2:00 the fever was down. The doctor didn't seemed too concerned about his fever. She checked him out and he's growing just like he should be. He's 40 inches tall and weighs 31.5 lbs. He's just getting so grown up. He was being really complicated at the appointment. He didn't want to cooperate and he didn't want to let the doctor check him out. He was very upset that he was going to have to get shots and all I heard was "I don't want to get a shot!" He was so worked up.
Lane got more xrays on his collarbone. Thankfully it has healed up really well. The collarbone is straight but since it's still healing there is still a knot on top of the break. On the xray it looks kind of like a halo over the break but the doctor said that over time this will go away. So he's released from the sling! He will go back in 3-4 weeks for another set of xrays just to make sure that everything is still good. I've been so happy with this doctor. Unfortunately she is deploying so he will see another doctor at the next appointment. Overall Lane is doing good. He was 29.72 in and weighs 19.5 lbs. She was a little concerned because his weight has gone done a little. But since he has been sick with the pneumonia he's not eaten as much. In the last day or two he has started eating more so I think the weight will go back up soon. She just wants his weight rechecked at the collarbone check up appointment. But after all the eating he did tonight...I don't think that's going to be a problem!
Next we headed to get immunizations. Logan was so worked up and DID NOT want a shot. I've been getting the Hep B & A shots for work and it was time for my second round. So I went first to show him it wasn't that bad. Well he didn't care. He was crying when I put him on the table. I don't think the shots bothered him as much as having to lay there! He did have to have 4 so his little legs are a little sore. As soon as he got up the crying stopped and he was fine. Lane wasn't much better. He started crying when I laid him down too. He only had to have two but he screamed the whole time. But once I picked him up he was fine. I have to admit Logan really pushed my buttons with the way he acted before the shots. He was not listening to me at all and was running his mouth a lot more than I wanted. I am so glad all that is over and I don't have to do anymore shots for a least 6 months! By that time Aaron will be here so he will get to help!!!!
We picked up movies and ice cream afterwards. Logan decided to get a Wii game instead of a movie so when we got home he started to play that. Lane was tired and cranky from the shots but Logan seemed to feel fine. As the night went on he started to get a little clingy. He laid down with me to watch a movie and I noticed he was starting to feel a little warm. My friend Susan whose husband is home on R&R came by for a minute to drop off Aaron's laptop that he had sent home with Marc. Somehow Aaron's gun fell and broke the screen on the laptop. So the computer works, you just can't see what your doing. So now I get to drop that off to be fixed. After telling them bye I walked in the house to find Logan sound asleep on the couch. I felt his head and he was burning up. I took his temp and it was back up. 100.9. And again his only complaint was that his eye hurt. I called the ER to ask them what they thought and of course they said I should bring him in if I was worried but I just had him at the doctor today. Thankfully Aaron called back tonight to see how the boys appointment went and he told me I should just wait and see how he feels tomorrow. It makes me feel so much better to get his opinion on stuff like that. We both feel that he possibly just has a headache but just doesn't understand the difference in eye pain and eye pain behind his eye. I just feel bad for him. He looks so pitiful.
