I was suppose to have physical therapy for my back this afternoon so the boys and I got up and got ready to start the day. Logan was going to school and then Lane was going to stay with me until time for my appointment and then he would be staying with the sitter. We dropped Logan off and then Lane and I headed to the commissary and then the PX. I let Lane pick out a few toys for his birthday. Afterwards we came home and Lane took a nap and I started getting cupcakes and icing made for Lane's birthday party this weekend. My PT appointment was canceled for some crazy reason so when Lane got up we headed to Old Navy just to see what they had. It was snowing all day today and the roads ended up being horrible. It's suppose to snow all through the night...yip-pe! Do you sense the sarcasm??? We picked Logan up and headed home. Of course the minute Logan walked through the door he noticed Lane's new toys and tried to lay his claim to them! He never wants to shared his cars...and believe me the boy has over 100...with Lane so I had bought Lane his own cars so that I wouldn't have to hear the fight! Well of course Logan thought that Lane's new cars were really cool and so much better than the cars he had. Well I told him he would have to ask Lane if he could play with them. Well of course Lane doesn't care and as long as Logan offered him a different car Lane gave Logan the car he wanted. So basically Logan was taking full advantage! Next thing I know Logan has all of Lane's new cars hid in a kitchen cabinet! Poor little Lane. Logan doesn't realize it but his day is coming!
Mom called and while I was talking to her I sat in the floor with Lane. Logan was stuck upstairs with his nose glued to his Ben 10 movie! Well Lane decided he wanted to do some flips. Yes he is still only using one arm but he wanted to flip. He puts his head on the floor and his butt in the air and waits for me to flip him over. I was worried about doing it because I didn't want to hurt but as I pondered doing it Lane stands up and looks right at me and says, "Mom-ma" and then he goes back into flip position. So I carefully flip him over and he goes straight into his cute little belly laugh. Mom could hear him laughing too. It was so cute! Aaron beeped in while I was talking to mom and he got to hear Lane's giggling and yelling at me. He was getting mad at me for not letting him push the buttons on the phone. Aaron calls it squawking! Lane ended up falling asleep on my arm while I was talking to Aaron. It was so sweet.

I finally finished up the cupcakes for Lane's party. I am certainly not a pro but I had fun doing them. My blue icing was a little thick so I was having problems with it but the green worked great! They are far from perfect but they are edible. And my homemade icing turned out quite tasty! Tomorrow I will finishing up Lane's cake. We will see how that turns out. The reason that one of my cupcakes is plain is because I was cleaning up and "found" one that was hid behind a bowl! I had already cleaned up everything else so that one is just plain. Logan is begging to eat it but I told him he has to wait. No sugar rushes before bedtime!!!!

Here's a snap shot of me and Lane. Isn't his smile just the sweetest!
