Lazy days

Lane woke up with a small fever Friday morning. Along with that was a runny nose and a cough. Logan had a runny nose as well and I just didn't feel quite normal. So we stayed home all day...doing nothing. I really tried to do some cleaning in the house but no matter what I did the house still looked trashed. I'm going to have to get a sitter just so I can clean my house! The last time it got this bad I swore I wouldn't let it happen again...yet here again I have a dirty house!

I'm completely tired of this cold weather. I literally curse the snow, ice, and cold every day. I need to feel the sun on my skin...I need to sweat!!!! I want to see the grass and hear the birds chirp. I want to sit outside and read a book and watch the boys play while drinking a nice big glass of ice cold sweet tea. I want to take the boys for walks. I'm ready to have cookouts. I want to open up my doors and windows and feel the warm breeze blow! I want summer!

Today we had a birthday party to go to. We almost missed it because once again we were entirely too lazy. I finally motivated myself out of bed and into the shower. We were a little late but we made it. The party was at McDonald's so Logan got to run off some of his energy and poor Lane was stuck in a highchair. I tried letting him walk around a little but he fell and well, it's hard to catch yourself with just one arm. After the party we went to Walmart. I didn't really want to go but it was a day that I had to go. I picked up some stuff for Aaron as well so honey, I will get your box out ASAP! While we were in Walmart Lane started feeling bad again. It felt like his fever was coming back so we got out of there as soon as we could. Sure enough by the time we got home he had a fever of 100.9. Poor baby. He and I took a nap. Logan ran around the playroom with Ben 10 on. Granted it wasn't a very good nap with Logan waking me up every 5 minutes but at least I got to rest my eyes! Lane woke up still feeling bad but thankfully the meds have kicked in and he's playing now. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. I'm tired of feeling so yucky!
