After the ceremony the 5-1 Cav wives got together for a little social time. I had to leave for PT but it was nice to see everyone and catch up since some of the wives I don't get to see very often.
By them time I got home that night I was exhausted and wanted to fall asleep more than anything. Thankfully I had put dinner in the crock pot so all I had to do was serve us. Of course Logan didn't want to eat or even try what I had cooked. Not that I was surprised about that in the least. The boys and I were in the bed at 8:20PM. But as usual the alarm clock went off long before I was ready for it too. Work on Wednesday was very busy. I had to admit to the girls that as I was getting ready for work that morning I had prayed that the power would go off!!! They all agreed that was a good idea since we can't do surgery with no power or oxygen! My prayer wasn't answered! But I made it through the day and got the boys home. We had KFC for dinner...I was in no mood to cook! Plus my house looks like a tornado has gone through it and well...the kitchen is just down right embarrassing! I did manage to get the dishwasher loaded this morning so things are moving along. I didn't get to bed as early as I had planned but I had a welcomed distraction! Aaron called which is far more important than sleep. I love talking to him. He seemed to be doing good and he was in a good mood. We laughed and picked on each other which is two of our favorite things to do together! I love you babe!
This morning I had to get up to take Lane to the doctor to have his collarbone checked. They did more xrays and found that things are better yet worse. Better in that his collarbone is now straight where it was angled up before but worse in that now the break is displaced. Not too bad but more than the doctor would like. So the peds doctors is going to talk to the Orthopedic doctor and see what he things. She said that he might want to put Lane in a stronger stint. Something so that he can't pull his arm out of it and so that he won't be able to move that arm. As much as I don't want to see him in a cast I have kind of felt all along that would be the best thing for him. He gets tired of having his arm glued to his side so by the end of the day he is pulling his arm out of the ace bandage and when he falls he will use his shoulder to push himself back up. That can't be good for him. She did change the position of the way I am wrapping it. Instead of it being at a 90 degree angle his arm is more at a 45 degree angle. It's kind of easier to wrap his arm that way and he seems to not fight the bandage as much. The doctor did say that she doesn't think he will have any permanent damage from this which is something I've been worried about. She said this won't affect the movement of his shoulder so that's really good to hear. If the ortho doctors wants to see him then I should get a call but if not then we go back to the doctor in two weeks for more xrays and a collarbone recheck and both boys will then have their yearly check ups all in the same day. I hear that Logan will get 4 or 5 shots all for turning 4 and I'm sure Lane will be due for some too. That's going to be a crazy day!
The boys got gifts from Grammy and Grandmother. They were both pretty excited. They got a huge bucket of animal crackers which both have seemed to really enjoy. Logan got bubble gum from Papaw and ring pops from uncle TT so he's been enjoying those. Mr. Lane got Gerber snacks which are some of his favs and a new book. Both boys got a new truck. My kids and vehicles. They LOVE them! Lane has already learned how to "run his motor" when he's playing cars with his brother. They play cars all the time!
Grandmother had to be put back in the hospital. She has an infection from her surgery so please say a prayer for her.
Please remember Dustin Lewis. He was in a horrible motorcycle wreck last Saturday, and continues to struggle in the hospital.

You must be super mom! :)
Geez, sorry to hear that your grandmother got an infection from her surgery. It happens, but in my opinion, it shouldn't.
Dustin is doing better each day. He is taking baby steps, but all in the position direction! He still needs our prayers, but each day bring better news. What a mightly God we serve!!
