Today was Lane's birthday party. The little girl next door, Vanna, is one day older than Lane so her mom, Cori, and I decided we would do their party's together. It was pretty cute. It was a prince and princess theme! Cori is an awesome party planner so she had the whole thing set up. She's been a lifesaver more times than she knows! The party turned out perfectly and all the kiddos had a great time. Cori had stuff for the boys to make swords and the girls to make crowns. She also had a pinata. Plus we had the party at the same place we had Logan's birthday so there were lots of arcade games for the kids to play on. Cori had made an awesome cake which of course made mine look like a kindergardener's cake! Originally I had planned to make a pillow cake like the one Cori made for Vanna but I decided that was a little out of my league for a first birthday cake! I was happy with mine though and Lane loved it. He was so cute tearing into that cake. He ate for a bit and then started playing. Even sticking his sippy cup in the cake like he was giving it a bite! After he was done he started throwing the cake on the floor and then he decided to share with Hailey. Well he was throwing it at her as soon as she got close! It was pretty funny. Oh I almost forgot the cutest part. After we all sang happy birthday Lane started trying to sing it. He was just humming away. It was so precious. He had the tune and everything. He got some really cute gifts. Heather got him this Elmo that's playing a guitar. Well it sings and dances so Lane was dancing with it. He loves music. When he hear it his little body just won't be still!!! For us the party ended with Logan deciding he needed to mess with my camera...when he knows he's not suppose to. It was already put away but he decided he needed to get out...with out asking of course. Well he drops it...twice...and it breaks. I was wanting a new camera but I didn't want it to be for that reason. I guess at least he waited till I was done taking pictures at the party! Guess tomorrow I will be searching a little harder for a camera.
Hailey and Lane...he was sword fighting!
After the party the boys, me, Amy and her kids went to Carl's Jr to eat dinner. Logan's request as usual. He had put that request in yesterday. The kids were hyped up on icing so it was a little louder than we would have liked. We were more than ready to leave. We got home and the boys played for a little and then headed to bed. I'm about to head that way myself. I believe Lane had a great time...he was full of smiles. The only thing that would have made it better is if Aaron had been here with us. Before Logan went to bed tonight he kissed me on the check and said, "that's from Daddy!" He's such a sweetheart! Our boys truely are little miracle sent to us from Heaven. I don't know what we did for God to choose to bless us so much...but I'm so glad he did!!!
Here are a few pictures from the party.
